Energy tracking for pacing with chronic illness
If your energy is limited and unpredictable, pacing means matching what you do to what you have. Jiggered gives you a personal daily budget and a record of how it went. It does not tell you what to do.
How it supports pacing
- A budget you set. Start each day with a Green, Amber or Red check-in that adjusts your starting points. Poor sleep can adjust it too.
- Planning ahead. Put activities on a one, three or seven day plan and see the projected balance before and after recovery.
- Recovery counts. Record rest as a negative cost, using your own estimate of how much it restores.
- Plans stay separate from records. A planned activity reserves energy but does not count as used until you mark it done with its real cost.
Spoons or points
Many people think about energy in spoons. You can switch the display to spoons, and one spoon represents one point. Read the guide to Spoon Theory for the background and a link to the original essay.
What it is not
Points are your own estimates, not a medical measurement. Jiggered does not diagnose, find causes or say how much activity is safe. Work out your pacing plan with someone who knows your health. See how energy tracking works and how symptom episodes are recorded.
Next: make your first check-in.
