A symptom diary alternative to spreadsheets and paper
A notebook or spreadsheet is a good way to start recording how you feel, and many people never need more. Jiggered is for when you want the arithmetic, the history views and the export done for you.

When paper or a spreadsheet is the better choice
- You want the most private record possible, with nothing stored on any server.
- You are not sure yet what you want to track, and a blank page is more flexible.
- Logging on a screen is itself tiring for you.
When to choose Jiggered
- You want to plan several days ahead and see the projected balance, which is tedious by hand.
- You want one-tap check-ins and symptom episodes with durations, recorded on a phone.
- You want to look back over months without rebuilding a chart each time.
Moving over is simple. Start with the getting-started guide, and keep your old notes alongside until you trust the new routine.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Jiggered alongside a paper diary?
Yes. Nothing stops you recording in both, and you can export Jiggered's records at any time.
Is a digital log less private than paper?
Generally yes, because someone runs the server. Jiggered keeps each account's records separate, but operators can read the database. The privacy page explains this plainly.
