OFFLINE USE

Log offline. Know where your changes are saved.

After you sign in online and the app has stored its files and device copy, Jiggered can open without a connection on that trusted device. Offline changes wait locally until they can reach the server.

Set up while connected

Use HTTPS (or localhost for testing), sign in online, and allow the app to load. A browser with Web Locks is required for editing; unsupported environments show a read-only notice. Home-screen installation is optional. Registration and email verification need a connection.

Queued is different from acknowledged

The saving status distinguishes a change waiting on your device from one acknowledged by the server. Reconnect and check that the queue finishes before treating another device or a server export as up to date. Do not assume that “offline” means a backup exists.

Storage and unfinished drafts

The app keeps device copies in browser storage. Unfinished drafts last seven days. Browser eviction, device failure, blocked storage or full storage can remove or prevent those copies. If a warning appears, keep the page open and download a recovery copy before closing it.

Only one browser tab owns the editing lock. Other tabs can read the acknowledged device copy. Close the editing tab, then use Reload to edit here if you need to take over in another tab.

Conflicts and refused changes

Recovery keeps refused or conflicting edits so you can inspect, retry, edit or download them. Follow the shown choices rather than assuming a failed change reached the server. Device recovery files can contain drafts and unsent records and may be sensitive.

Signing out and revoked sessions

Signing out removes this browser's identity, logs and drafts; the app warns about unfinished or unsaved work. Download any needed recovery copy first. A device that is fully offline cannot learn that its session was revoked until it reconnects. Device copies are not encrypted by the app, so use devices you trust.
